Brand Setup

Your brand profile is the foundation of everything SocialSgnl does. It tells the AI who you are, what you sell, and how you communicate — so every generated comment sounds authentically you.

Creating a brand

When you first sign in, you'll be prompted to create your brand. You can also create one from the Brand page in the sidebar.

Fill in these details to get the best results from the AI:

Brand Name

Your business or product name. This appears in the dashboard and may be referenced in generated comments when relevant.

Mission

A clear statement of what your business does and who it serves. This is the most important field for AI context — be specific. Example: "We help small e-commerce businesses increase conversion rates through AI-powered product recommendations."

Key Selling Points

Add 3-5 specific value propositions. The AI uses these to weave relevant benefits into comments naturally. Example: "14-day free trial", "No credit card required", "Integrates with Shopify in 2 minutes".

Tone Guidelines

Tell the AI how your brand communicates. Include your voice style (e.g., "professional but approachable") and words or phrases to avoid (e.g., "no jargon, no hard sells, no excessive emojis").

Target Audience

Describe who your ideal customer is. This helps the AI determine which posts are relevant and how to frame responses. Example: "Startup founders and marketing managers at companies with 10-100 employees".

Website URL

Your website link. The AI may include it in comments when it fits naturally — it won't force it into every response.

Industry

Your business sector (e.g., SaaS, Health & Fitness, Education). Helps the AI understand your domain context.

Switching between brands

If you manage multiple brands, use the brand switcher in the top of the sidebar to switch your active brand. Everything in the dashboard — groups, posts, comments, analytics — is scoped to whichever brand is currently selected.

Your selected brand persists across sessions, so you'll always return to the same brand when you come back.

Editing your brand

You can update your brand profile at any time from the Brand page. Changes take effect immediately — the next time the AI generates comments, it will use your updated profile.

Tip: Use the Analyze Brand button to get AI-powered suggestions for improving your mission, selling points, and tone guidelines.

Best practices

  • Be specific in your mission. "We help people" gives the AI almost nothing to work with. "We help freelance designers find high-paying clients through portfolio optimization" gives it everything.
  • List concrete selling points. Features, free trials, integrations, pricing — anything that differentiates you.
  • Define what to avoid. The "avoid" list in tone guidelines is just as important as the voice. If you never want the AI to say "game-changer" or "synergy", tell it.
  • Review generated comments early. After your first automation run, check the moderation queue. If comments don't feel right, refine your brand profile and try again.
